PlayStation Gameplay Chart: eFootball and FIFA 22 are poles apart By Kes Eylers-Stephenson, 11 Oct 2021The two football-sim, FIFA 22 and eFootball are both on the chart this week, but the two are currently at opposite ends of the spectrum. Here is the top 40 PlayStation Gameplay Chart for the week ending October 10th, 2021.PositionGamePublisherLast week1 Call of Duty: Modern WarfareActivision12 FortniteEpic Games23 Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold WarActivision104 FIFA 22Electronic Arts85 Grand Theft Auto VRockstar Games36 Apex LegendsElectronic Arts47 Genshin ImpactmiHoYo78 Rocket LeaguePsyonix59 Destiny 2Activision610 Hell Let LooseTeam17 Software-11 MinecraftMojang Studios912 PGA TOUR 2K212K Games-13 Mortal Kombat XWarner Bros. First is the resurgence of Black Ops: Cold War, which was dawdling at the tenth position last week. Now, it has blasted its way up the chart and into third place again, sitting pretty as the PS5's third most played game for the week. FIFA 22 has placed at fourth as the PS5's second most played game, taking up the position its predecessor often occupied. However, free-to-play rival eFootball 2022 is really slumping down in 30th. Frankly, there is just no way that Konami can be happy with the release of the game, give the absolute state of the graphics and the undercooked — but enjoyable enough — gameplay. Given that it is free, this position is a damning indictment of the way the game roll-out has been executed this year. The final top ten game to take note of is the PS5 PlayStation Plus game for October, Hell Let Loose. It's a hardcore WWII shooter, and you can find our first impressions on TrueAchievements. It's rather incredible to see it leading the pack of PS Plus games, considering the stock distribution between PS4 and PS5. Though, both PGA Tour 2K21 and Mortal Kombat X are not that far behind in 12th and 13th respectively. Hell Let Loose is now the most-played PS5 game, which is really not that bad going considering the giants above it! Life is a little more tepid further down the chart. There are several impressive risers like NBA 2K22, Assassin's Creed Valhalla (thanks to a sale), and Battlefield V — thanks to the imminent arrival of Battlefield 2042. Meanwhile, several reentries have at least helped create a little chaos. The Last of Us: Part II recently joined PS Now and was on sale, both of which might have contributed to its rise into 28th. Hitman 2 was a part of the PS Plus lineup a month ago, and plenty seem to have jumped right back in as it rises to 32nd. Somehow, Predator: Hunting Grounds has also made it onto the list at 38th after it was also included in last month's PlayStation Plus lineup. Did you spot anything notable this week? There is plenty to choose from, so if you leave an eagle-eyed comment we will be sure to include you!Chart Written by Kes Eylers-StephensonEditor Kes is our resident expert in PlayStation and other gaming news.
