Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition finally announced

By Kes Eylers-Stephenson,
Rockstar Games has finally announced the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition. The long rumoured and many times leaked compilation includes remastered versions of Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City, and San Andreas with a launch set for later ths year.

At the time of writing, the Rockstar Wire is under siege as people read the official announcement. All three classic GTA titles will be launching for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via the Rockstar Games Launcher) later this year. The remasters "will feature across-the-board upgrades including graphical improvements and modern gameplay enhancements for all three titles, while still maintaining the classic look and feel of the originals."

As of yet, details are scarce as to whether this is a single bundle or if the games are going to be released separately. The Rockstar post states that there will be more information announced closer to launch.

This is hardly a revelation, however. Even earlier this week, dataminers found the leaked logos and new achievement art for all three games in a Rockstar Launcher update. Last week listings were found on the Korean rating board.

Which one would you be playing first? Give us your official proclamation in the comments!
