Chart compiled using gameplay data from over 840,000 active PlayStation accounts. Chart information is copyright TrueGaming Network.
The top ten is fairly static aside from two notable things. The first is that FIFA 21 has dropped four places. It will be out of there by next week, though, because FIFA 22 releases on October 1st. Proving its monstrous popularity is that it has reached number 24 in our gameplay chart... before official release. The sports behemoth has been available through EA Play for a few days, and folks can get technically pay £0.99/$0.99 for the pleasure of 10 hours with the game in a trial period — we recommend checking out our review on TA first, though! The second thing to note is that amongst the deluge of new games, Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut has held on at ten and is our fourth most-played PS5 game.

The new exclusive Deathloop has absolutely rocked up the chart, going from 28th to 12th and coming first in our most-played PS5 games. This is an outstanding result for Arkane and its time looper-shooter, but we will have to keep an eye on it. That has come at the cost of Tales of Arise falling away from 13th to 18th, though. Hopefully, it can stick in the Top 20 for a little while longer!

Several new entries have made it, and some might not be happy with their position! NBA 2K21 enters at 21st, but most of our tracked gamers are from the UK so this relatively low position shouldn't surprise you! The wonderful Kena: Bridge of Spirits is at 23rd, a game we awarded an 8/10 in our review! Good work from first-time developers Ember Lab, there. A niche game like Death Stranding: Director's Cut, which our very own Sean "The Postman" Carey reviewed, has surprised us by entering at 19th — we are super curious to see where this goes.

Further down the list is Diablo II: Resurrected, a game Activision Blizzard probably wanted to do much better on opening week than 33rd. By all accounts, the port and remaster is a good one, so if that is your bag then pick it up. SMITE comes in at 38th, the long-time popular MOBA about all the gods managing to finally scrape into PlayStation proceedings. We will keep an eye on it and see if it makes further headway next week.

That is your lot for the week! As always, if there is something in here that surprised you or a bit of data that shocked you, let us know in the comments and we will endeavour to include you!
