Rockstar partly discontinues two GTA 5 trophies including its platinum

By Sean Carey,
Rockstar has removed a bunch of content from GTA Online, partly discontinuing one trophy in Grand Theft Auto V and its platinum trophy.

In July, Rockstar announced its plans to start removing content from GTA Online "to make room for further updates." While races, missions, and adversary modes have all been axed from the game in recent months, no trophies have been affected until now.

The Numero Uno trophy in both the PS4 and PS3 versions of the game asks you to come in first place in all competitive game types, including sea races and parachute races, which have now recently been removed from the game. For sea races, you can still add a player-created race to a playlist from the GTA 5 website, but for parachute races, you're out of luck. If you want to unlock the trophy now, you will need to have already won a parachute race. Naturally, this means that GTA 5's platinum (on PS4 anyway) has also been partly discontinued for some players.

If you haven't managed to get a parachute win, you might have a chance to get one in the future. Rockstar has said that content will be "cycled in and out over time," so parachute races could return at a later date. GTA 5's PS3 servers are due to close on December 16th — hopefully, we'll see parachute races reintroduced before then.

In more GTA 5-related news, the PS5 version of GTA 5 has been delayed to March 2022.
