The newly acquired PlayStation Studio, Firesprite, has confirmed that it is working on an exclusive "dark narrative adventure" with a job listing. The team is aiming to be "genre-defining" with this entry, exciting!

The LinkedIn posting was spotted on ResetEra, which was caught by PushSquare. The posting states that the Firesprite team is working on a "dark, narrative adventure with genre-defining goals!" The post, in essence, confirms that at least one of the projects that Firesprite is working on for Sony. That would suggest that part of the reason Sony saw fit to invest in the team was that these projects held serious promise. Apparently, the team were making this alongside a "massive multiplayer shooter," as listed in an interview after the acquisition announcement.

We have no idea what the games would even remotely look like, given that they seem to be a complete departure from Firesprite's previous effort, the sci-fi horror VR game The Persistence. However, it has also been rumoured that the studio is working on a PS VR Horizon project, that rumour is being further substantiated by job listings found for a "blockbuster VR action-adventure title." It seems the 250-person strong team is making up to three games for their new overseers!

Which project are you most excited about? Let us know in the comments!
