PlayStation Showcase announced for next week, will offer a look into the "future of PS5"

By Sean Carey,
After missing both E3 and Gamescom this year, Sony has announced a PlayStation Showcase for Thursday, September 9th, that will give us a "look into the future of PS5."

PlayStation Showcase September 2021

The showcase kicks off on September 9th at 1pm PT / 9pm BST / 10pm CEST and will run for around 40 minutes. You can expect updates from various PlayStation Studios "and some of the industry's most imaginative developers, for games releasing this holiday and beyond," Sony says. After the presentation, Sony tells us to stick around as there will be more updates from some of the studio teams that featured in the showcase.

To manage expectations, Sony says that the PSVR 2 will not feature during the event — the showcase will focus on "great PS5 games from developers large and small."

The PlayStation Showcase is set for September 9th at 1pm PT / 9pm BST / 10pm CEST and can be watched live on both YouTube and Twitch.

Are you excited to see what surprises Sony has in store for the showcase? What are you hoping to see? Let us know in the comments!
