1047 Games confirmed the plans for a PS5 and Xbox Series X version of the Portal meets Halo-style game in a livestream Q&A, which we picked up from The Gamer. When directly asked about the enhancements, Leader of the dev team, Ian Proulx, responded with the clearest of affirmative answers.

"We're going to do it. I'm not ready to share any specifics, but there's some obvious things that pretty much every game is doing that we will explore doing," said the CEO. "We intended to have the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions out already. It's just been a matter of having 110% focus on servers as much as possible."

This comes as no surprise as the game is doing very well right now. A little too well, in fact. The servers have crashed multiple times resulting in a delay of the game till this month. Luckily the team secured the extra funding required for expanded server capacity. Hence, the extra delay to next-gen versions of the game.
