By Kes Eylers-Stephenson,
Hello! Welcome to the article that is all about the TT community: that's you! Last week we had a look at the Summer Sale refresh that is ongoing on the PlayStation Store. You guys picked out some sweet deals, so let's have a look!

Weekend Headlines 24/3/17

The PlayStation Store is hosting a Summer Sale Refresh until next week. Our sale recap for the EU/UK and US territories is a great place to spot deals, and it is where the community have picked up their three picks. Here they are!

Ni no Kuni II

Tiawyn: Ni no Kuni II is currently on sale for 86% off for anybody that does not own it yet.
Tiawyn has suggested Level 5's sequel to Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. Set hundreds of years after the events of the first game, you take on the role Evan Pettiwhisker Tildrum, a boy-king ousted from his rightful throne. The RPG expands on its predecessor with kingdom building mechanics and freer combat scenarios while keeping the Studio Ghibli art style from the first game and the Pokemon-like Higgledies to help you in combat. The game was well-received and is essentially a penny an hour at the current cost. Thanks, Tiawyn!

Ni no Kuni™ II: REVENANT KINGDOM

Ni no Kuni™ II: REVENANT KINGDOM

Welcome to the beautiful world of Ni no Kuni!

After being overthrown in a coup, the young king Evan sets out on an extraordinary quest to found a new kingdom, unite his world and protect its inhabitants from the dark forces that threaten them.

Join him on an unforgettable adventure which blurs the line between animated feature film and video game. Developed by LEVEL-5, Ni no Kuni II features enchanting character designs from the legendary artist Yoshiyuki Momose and a stirring soundtrack composed by the world-famous Joe Hisaishi.

Ghostbusters: The Videogame Remastered

Adamx3D: Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered is a blast from the past. Fun all around if you're a fan of the movies and fairly easy to platinum too.
Adamx3D has two picks this week, the first of which is Ghostbusters: The Videogame in all of its modernised glory. Based on the 2009 game, this updated 2019 edition makes the game look much better while cleaning up some of the sticky controls. The plot is set two years after the events of Ghostbusters II, so it's not like this is treading the same narrative ground as the normal movie tie-in games. The third-person shooter requires the player to capture ghosts by using a variety of classic traps inspired by the films. The list, as Adamx3D indicated, is fairly easy. For funsies, the trophy list is named using quotes from the films. For a hefty 75% discount, this might be a worthwhile weekend completion!

Remote Play requires PS Vita system and sufficiently robust Wi-Fi connection.

L.A. Noire

Adamx3D: L.A. Noire is a personal favourite as well, from the folks at Rockstar Games both aesthetically and in terms of the overall story. Replayed this title countless times, to say the least.
The second of Adamx3D's suggestions, this one is sure to go down well. Rockstar's L.A. Noire detective drama was a big hit in the PS3 era and it got a nice remaster for PS4. At 50% off, it's not the steepest discount, but the summer feels like a great time to hop in. This has all the DLC included alongside 1080p or 4K output and some graphical enhancements. You have to do some actual detective work to solve the horrific crimes you have been tasked with investigating, including evidence building and interviews. A solid pick and a TT favourite, too!

L.A. Noire

L.A. Noire

A dark and violent crime thriller set against the backdrop of 1940’s Los Angeles.

Amid the post-war boom of Hollywood's Golden Age, Cole Phelps, an LAPD detective is thrown headfirst into a city drowning in its own success. Corruption is rampant, the drug trade is exploding, and murder rates are at an all-time high. In his fight to climb the ranks and do what's right, Phelps must unravel the truth behind a string of arson attacks, racketeering conspiracies and brutal murders, battling the L.A. underworld and even members of his own department to uncover a secret that could shake the city to its rotten core.

Utilizing revolutionary facial animation technology that captures every nuance of an actor's facial performance in astonishing detail, L.A. Noire blends the breathtaking action of chases and shootouts with true detective work for an unprecedented interactive experience. Solve brutal crimes, plots and conspiracies inspired by real crimes from 1947 Los Angeles, one of the most corrupt and violent times in L.A. history. Search for clues, chase down suspects and interrogate witnesses as you struggle to find the truth in a city where everyone has something to hide.

• Showcased in 1080p for the PlayStation®4 and stunning 4K for PlayStation®4 Pro.
• Includes the complete original game and all additional downloadable content plus new collectibles and detective suits to unlock, each with unique special abilities.
• Features an array of technical and graphical enhancements for a more realistic Los Angeles.

Hey, I'm Kes! I'm a Staff Writer, and I've been here since 2021. What do I like? The Outer Wilds is top notch. The Witcher 3 blew my mind over the course of five years completing it. I want Burnout back — I really miss crunching mechanical wonders into walls to the sound of Guns N' Roses. Cool, now we are acquainted, I'll see you around.
