PlayStation Studio Team Asobi is hard at work on "most ambitious game yet"

By Kes Eylers-Stephenson,
The new PlayStation Studio, Team Asobi, has launched its new website, where the Astro's Playroom developer also teases its next project.

Team ASOBI new website

The developer only recently formed out of the ashes of Japan Studio and now the Tokyo-based team has its own website (thanks Gematsu). There are some fairly tight-lipped job postings that aren't truly revealing of anything in any major way, but Team Asobi does make one promise. "We're currently hard at work on our most ambitious game yet!"

Since the studio's formal announcement, it has been understood that the Asobis are unlikely to be working on anything other than another Astro game. Recent job listings have also pointed in this direction. The little robots are becoming easy mascot material while celebrating the past in ways Sony seems loath to do at current. However, ambition is an interesting staple PR term that is often used amongst bigger studios. Maybe Astro is scaling up from Rescue Mission and Playroom?

Are you big Team Asobi simps? Yeah, us too. Let us know what you think down below!

Hey, I'm Kes! I'm a Staff Writer, and I've been here since 2021. What do I like? The Outer Wilds is top notch. The Witcher 3 blew my mind over the course of five years completing it. I want Burnout back — I really miss crunching mechanical wonders into walls to the sound of Guns N' Roses. Cool, now we are acquainted, I'll see you around.
