Assassin's Creed Valhalla's Sigrblot Festival is live now

By Heidi Nicholas,
The new Sigrblot Festival adds new activities, quests, and rewards to Assassin's Creed Valhalla, including a one-handed sword, a new mount, new weapons, gear, and tattoos, and more.

The Sigrblot Festival runs until August 19th, and to celebrate, Ubisoft says all players can claim 50 free Opals through Ubisoft Connect. The new activities, meanwhile, are Test Your Metal, War Games, and Fight or Flyte. Test Your Metal only lets you use dual daggers, dual shields, or the one-handed sword in "brawl-like matches," while War Games involves an Orlog challenge with Alwin, and Fight or Flyte pits you against Ake in a flyting match. All activities hand out festival tokens, which can be used at the festival shop on "fiery rewards" such as a new mount, settlement cosmetics, weapons, gear, and tattoos.

Ubisoft adds that we'll also be helping the Raven Clan with preparations for Valhalla's next few expansions: The Siege of Paris on August 12th, and the second River Raids map pack later in the summer. "For safe and bountiful journeys for your clan, select offerings to the gods like Thor, Freyja, or Baldr. Help Braun prepare for the Sigrblot Festival’s sacrifice in The Three Big Pigs, where he’ll let you in on his plight. Contribute to The War Effort by completing festival activities and quests and by gathering supplies for The Siege of Paris."

The Sigrblot Festival is live now, and runs for the next few weeks until August 19th. The Siege of Paris DLC also arrives next month on August 12th.

Hey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
