Beyond Good and Evil 2 is still in development, but it's "too early" to say when

Ubisoft has given a brief update on Beyond Good and Evil 2 (which was announced more than four years ago), saying that the game is progressing well, but it's still too early to discuss a possible launch window.

Beyond Good and Evil 2

As reported by PC Gamer, during Ubisoft's Q1 financial earnings call, an investor asked Ubisoft CFO Fredrick Duguet about the seemingly absent Beyond Good and Evil and whether the game would launch during Ubisoft's fiscal year 2024 (sometime after May 1st, 2023). Duguet simply replied: "We've progressed well with Beyond Good and Evil 2, but it's too early to tell you at this stage."

This meagre snippet of information is the first time Ubisoft has commented on the game since late last year when Beyond Good and Evil 2 director Michel Ancel announced that he was retiring from the games industry. At the time, Senior producer Guillaume Brunier said that development on the sequel was "well underway" and that Ubisoft was planning to show more on the game sometime this year.

Hopefully, we'll hear more on Beyond Good and Evil 2 this year.
