PlayStation Gameplay Chart: PlayStation Now and Plus give a boost to small games By Kes Eylers-Stephenson, 19 Jul 2021 CommentsThe PlayStation Plus monthly games and the PlayStation Now offering has made a noticeable dent in the chart, alongside some returning favourites. Here is the top 40 PlayStation Gameplay Chart for the week ending July 18th, 2021.PositionGamePublisherLast week1 Call of Duty: Modern WarfareActivision12 Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold WarActivision33 FortniteEpic Games24 FIFA 21Electronic Arts45 Grand Theft Auto VRockstar56 Rocket LeaguePsyonix77 Apex LegendsElectronic Arts88 Call of Duty: Black Ops 4Activision69 MinecraftMojang Studios910 Red Dead Redemption 2Rockstar1511 Genshin ImpactmiHoYo1212 Destiny 2Activision1113 Dead by Daylight 1/2505 Games1314 Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six SiegeUbisoft1615 Overwatch: Origins EditionBlizzard Entertainment1716 WWE 2K Battlegrounds2K1017 NBA 2K212K Sports1818 A Plague Tale: InnocenceFocus Home Interactive1419 Fall Guys: Ultimate KnockoutDevolver Digital2020 Battlefield VElectronic Arts1921 Assassin's Creed ValhallaUbisoft2222 Ghost of TsushimaSony Interactive Entertainment2423 Final Fantasy VII RemakeSquare Enix2324 Ratchet & Clank: Rift ApartSony Interactive Entertainment2125 Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm RebornSquare Enix2526 WarframeDigital Extremes3427 Days GoneSony Interactive Entertainment2728 Mass Effect: Legendary EditionElectronic Arts2629 Horizon Zero DawnSony Interactive Entertainment2930 The Last of Us Part IISony Interactive Entertainment3131 Resident Evil VillageCapcom Entertainment2832 Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles MoralesSony Interactive Entertainment3333 Mortal Kombat 11Warner Bros. We saw the July PS+ monthly game Black Ops 4 hit heights last week, adding yet more top ten spots to the CoD monopoly. This week, RDR 2 enters the fray as part of the PlayStation Now service. The game is download only, but that clearly hasn't deterred gamers who are lapping it up. Another reason for the five spot increase could be that the game recently received an online update called Blood Money that adds robberies and more — seriously impressive work from the PlayStation services department. Other games received updates to help them keep hold of the top spots. Black Ops Cold War Season 4 Reloaded hit download queue's last week, adding a new Zombies map to Cold War and making a small playlist change for Warzone. Of course, FIFA is still dropping FUT cards like the Euros are still being played. In Minecraft, the minions are coming. GTA Online has a car meet update, as well.In the teens, the PS+ July monthly games siege has relented a little after a strong opening week. WWE 2K Battlegrounds has dropped from tenth to 16th, suggesting that the game might suffer next week as well. A Plague Tale: Innocence also dropped places, though the game is a short single-player experience so this fall was always likely. In fairness, though, the game is the second most-played native PS5 game this week. Old favourites are coming back to the fore, though. Rainbow Six Seige and Overwatch have both made small gains. Warframe has a bit of a mystery return to the top 20. A huge new update was announced alongside incoming cross-play and cross-save functionality. However, considering this news broke over the weekend, we here at TT are a bit miffed as to its meteoric rise over the course of the entire week, but are weirdly proud to see it there!None of the PlayStation exclusives have made any movement of note. That said, Astro's PlayRoom — a great rough metric for PS5 sales — is back on the chart along with a one-place rise for system-seller Miles Morales. The Witcher 3 blew my mind over the course of five years completing it. I want Burnout back — I really miss crunching mechanical wonders into walls to the sound of Guns N' Roses. Cool, now we are acquainted, I'll see you around.
