PlayStation Now games for July confirmed to include Red Dead Redemption 2

By Kes Eylers-Stephenson,
The PlayStation Now games for July were leaked last week, but they have now been confirmed in an official PlayStation Blog post. The games added are a great boost for the service, which is currently lagging behind Xbox's Game Pass.

The big news here is that Red Dead Redemption 2 is confirmed to be on the service, but only to download on your PS4 and PS5. The epic cowboy adventuring masterpiece is huge, so it is hardly surprising that it needs data to be securely battened down on the system to run. That does mark a departure from the video game streaming service that had been touted and the purchase of Gaikai was supposed to get running.

The other games on the list are also exciting and are available for streaming as well as download. Yakuza spin-off Judgment is a Tokyo crime drama and is available for a limited time only, until October 4th. Sega is fully committing to the Judgment series with a sequel, so if you are interested then now is a great time to hop in. Nioh 2 — the PS4 version, not the remaster on PS5 — is a hardcore Souls-like set in Sengoku-era Japan. Moving Out is a crazy co-op game that is a spiritual successor to the Overcooked games. This is best played with your mates, but not the closest ones in case of fall-outs, but it also isn't too bad in single-player according to some of our community members. PlayStation exclusive God of War (2018), the masterpiece of narrative and world design, is coming to the service. The game has been widely available for some time, so this addition brings it in line with the PS+ collection offering on PS5.

If you are feeling sporty, then Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 will float your rowboat. It is looking a little more cartoony than previous entries and we are concerned about streaming the game because it is so reliant on timed button presses. A download should do the trick if you want a good laugh, though. NASCAR Heat 5 , the American version of maypole dancing, puts you behind the wheel of loud cars going very fast. With a solid career mode and a few additions outside of the oval, the Heat series is fairly underrated and worth your time when it is part of a service like this.
