With all the mad Battlefield 2042 hype, including from all the staff at TT, there has been a resurgent player base for Battlefield 4. The server demand was so high that EA had to increase capacity to accommodate the modern-day first-person shooter.

Coming to us via GamesRadar, community manager EA_Straatford made a statement over on the EA website. "We were absolutely blown away by your excitement and reactions to the recent Battlefield 2042 reveal. Since then, many of you have jumped back into Battlefield 4 to already get a taste of the return to all-out-warfare," EA Straatford said. "We’ve been monitoring your experience and noticed queue times in the US West region were far longer than in other regions. Good news, we’ve increased server capacity for this region – you can expect less waiting and more playing." Straatford wrapped it all up by saying that EA will be keeping an eye on queue times so they can remain nimble and adjust accordingly.

PlayStation players made a ripple in the TrueTrophies PlayStation Gameplay Chart, where Battlefield 4 currently sits in 31st place. Over on Xbox last week, Battlefield 4 was already on the Xbox Gameplay Chart in 25th place. The preliminary Gameplay Chart data indicates that the nearly-perfect FPS is climbing even higher this week.
