The nice guys at PlayStation congratulate Xbox on conference

By Kes Eylers-Stephenson,
Both the head of first-party studios and the head of indies at PlayStation have congratulated Xbox on their stellar performance at E3. The news game to us by way of the wonderful PushSquare. Hermen Hulst, the PlayStation Studios king, gave a kind little nod on Twitter.

The last we heard out of Hulst was his big interview on the PlayStation blog where he had lots to say about Horizon Forbidden West, cross-gen God of War: Ragnarok and Gran Turismo 7, and narrative-driven multiplayer games. Shuhei Yoshida got 'yeeted' out of his position as the head of first party in a conspicuous but ill-explained change of the guard at PlayStation and now occupies a role as the crown prince of indies. The wonderful Shu tweeted the following:

We saw Shu at E3 when he showed off some pleasant looking indies at Summer Game Fest. It is nice to see PlayStation personalities reaching out to Xbox, as it has been rare to see despite Xbox playing nice with the Japanese company.

Do you have thoughts about this kind of social media relationship? Is it all to onice and cosy? Maybe you like nice and cosy? Let us know down below!

Hey, I'm Kes! I'm a Staff Writer, and I've been here since 2021. What do I like? The Outer Wilds is top notch. The Witcher 3 blew my mind over the course of five years completing it. I want Burnout back — I really miss crunching mechanical wonders into walls to the sound of Guns N' Roses. Cool, now we are acquainted, I'll see you around.
