Assassin's Creed: Valhalla's Siege of Paris DLC is getting black-box missions!

By Kes Eylers-Stephenson,
The first snippets of Assassin's Creed Valhalla's next major expansion, The Siege of Paris, were shown during Ubisoft Forward. Rake your eyes over this trailer:

Evior is heading to Frankia, where Charles the Fat is ready to be taken down from within the walls of Paris. There will be new repayable activities such as raids and fresh alliances to forge. "This is the most ambitious battle in Viking history," Ubisoft says. There will be the normal modern Assassins Creed additions, too. Loot in the form of armour and weapons will be nestled into those big gold chests. The most exciting news is the return of black-box missions that give you an objective and then just let you do the murder as you wish. They first appeared in the Paris of the revolution in Unity, so it seems France is the perfect place for the I'm-so-stealthy-oh-no-I-fell of-a-ledge-I-need-to-improvise-poorly mission structure to return.

One-handed swords will be back after many fan requests "in the coming weeks." Valhalla's Discovery Tour is also set to launch in autumn. It looks a little more involved than the previous entries. Ubisoft will be supporting Valhalla "well into its second year," with further mythic-looking expansions.

You must be pumped for something in here, so let us know in the comments!
