Subscription-based Rocksmith+ is coming this year

By Kes Eylers-Stephenson,
The gamified guitar learning tool, Rocksmith, is returning to every single device you own, Ubisoft announced at its Forward event for E3 2021. Later this year, a subscription-based Rocksmith+ comes to console, PC, and mobile.

The tool will allow you to rock away for an as of yet unspecified amount a month. There will be a humongous amount of songs available at launch, with the player able to choose between tabulated music or a Rocksmith-branded chart of music. Simple chord progressions or pluck-by-pluck? It will all be there at substation beginner and intermediate levels to help you improve your shredding techniques.

Where the mobile version will use the microphone to track your skills, the console versions aren't so cut-and-dry. You can connect your guitar to your PlayStation, and it looks very much like that mobile function will work in the console versions: maybe an additional pickup? We'll keep you updated.

There is a PC beta if you want to test your metal, but no release date or pricing scheme confirmed for the full version. Does this pluck your strings? Let us know in the comments down below?
