Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One gets a trippy cinematic trailer

Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One got a fresh and trippy trailer at IGN's Summer of Gaming event for E3 2021.

This particular take on the classic detective finds Mr Holmes on a Mediterranean-inspired island. While breaking down some clues in a case, he is haunted by the memories of someone. Chapter One will follow Holmes as he deals with a big inaugural case. A fake Watson, also called Jon, is assisting in what will probably be an ill attempt to up Sherlock's detective skills. In classic prequel fashion, the game will show real the items that would go onto make up his iconic literary and film presences: such as his "penchant for the violin" and his "distinctive hat." As a nod to the story in the game, a voice-over states that "this personal mission that brought you here... you know it's nothing but pain and madness. I know it's not so far from what's already in your mind."

If the cinematic is anything to go by, this could be a trippy experience. The game releases later the year on PS4 and PS5. Any thoughts, fellow detectives? Keep us clued up down below!
