Payday 3 is "years away," says Starbreeze

Payday 3 was teased at the Summer Games Fest. At the Koch Media 'reveal,' the game was talked about by Starbreeze Studios but only small details were revealed. The tedious conference was supposed to showcase the products of its new Prime Matter publishing arm.

The popular Payday games have been long supported by Starbreeze. They feature co-op bank heists which can get pretty complex. The third game, which was slated to be the big finish of the Koch Media conference, had only two notable details. The game will be upping the ante a little with features that sound a lot like inter-gang warfare during your crimes. The other was that the developer revealed that the game was "years away." They then showed this one screenshot to give us a taste of the feel of the game, but we already saw it in the Prime Matter reel at Summer Game Fest yesterday.

It capped what was one of the most boring conferences we have ever cast our eyes on, filled with little of note other than medieval soap. Is the Payday franchise your bag (of ill earned money)?
