Elden Ring launching January 21st, 2022 for PS4 and PS5

By Kes Eylers-Stephenson,
FromSoftware has released a gameplay trailer for the long waited Elden Ring and confirmed that the hardcore action-RPG will launch for PS4 and PS5 on January 21st, 2022.

The new gameplay trailer is around three minutes long and showcases high-fantasy Souls-like gameplay. It features a rideable horse and a Yggdrasil-like tree with such a blinding light emanating from it that one wonders if night-time could ever exist in such a world. The game promises to live up to the reputation of FromSoftware's catalogue: the Dark Souls series, the Activision-published Sekiro, and the Sony-published Bloodborne and Demon's Souls.

The game has become so anticipated that fans started making up their own lore on Reddit. George R.R. Martin and Hidetaka Miyazaki have now started revealing snippets of their wold, so fans need not make things up any longer!

We are very keen to hear what you guys think! Are you ready for January 2022? What are you most excited for? Any details catch your eye? Send us some summoning signs in the comments!

Hey, I'm Kes! I'm a Staff Writer, and I've been here since 2021. What do I like? The Outer Wilds is top notch. The Witcher 3 blew my mind over the course of five years completing it. I want Burnout back — I really miss crunching mechanical wonders into walls to the sound of Guns N' Roses. Cool, now we are acquainted, I'll see you around.
