Crysis Remastered Trilogy launches this autumn

By Sean Carey,
Crytek has announced that the Crysis Remastered Trilogy, which bundles remastered versions of all three classic first-person shooters together, will launch for PS4 sometime this autumn.

The Crysis Remastered Trilogy includes Crysis Remastered (which launched last year), Crysis 2 Remastered, and Crysis 3 Remastered. Saber Interactive has optimised the games for current console hardware, but Crytek says the bundle will play "even smoother" on PS5. Crytek also notes that only the single-player campaigns are included, and both Crysis 2 Remastered and Crysis 3 Remastered will be made available to purchase separately.

Crytek hasn't detailed what visual and performance improvements we can expect from Crysis 2 and Crysis 3 Remastered. When Crysis Remastered launched in September last year, the game was plagued with numerous graphics and performance issues. Hopefully, Saber Interactive and Crytek will have worked out the kinks for the other two upcoming remasters.

"Each game is enhanced to look and play beautifully on today's platforms, delivering the finest Crysis experience for both newcomers to our classic franchise or players wishing to relive the adventure," said project lead Steffen Halbig.
