Hades PS4 rating suggests imminent release

By Kes Eylers-Stephenson,
Supergiant's Hades has been rated for PlayStation 4, suggesting a release of the game is right around the corner. Supergiant catalogue of games on PlayStation includes the excellent action RPG's Bastion, Transistor, and Pyre.
Nintendo Switch

According to a ResetEra thread posted by a user named modiz, Hades was rated for release with Take-Two Interactive listed as the publisher but Private Division might take over the physical distribution of the game. The listing doesn't give any indication of when the game might release, so settle down in your own Hades-less hell for a little while longer.

After early access in 2018, Hades initially released on Nintendo Switch, Steam and the Epic Games Store on September 17th, 2020. Hades is a roguelike in which you play as Zagreus, the son of Hades who must battle his way out of the underworld. It released to stellar review scores and currently holds a 93 on Metacritic. Hades picked up numerous GOTY awards from a selection of gaming news outlets but lost out to The Last of Us: Part II at the annual The Game Awards ceremony in 2020. The game was universally praised for its deep combat mechanics, art style, and well voice-acted story. Darren Korb once again produced a soundtrack of elite quality. If you haven't checked out this guys portfolio, treat yourself a little.

The game features a steam achievements list that will take 80-100 hours to complete, so it seems likely that the trophy list will follow suit.

Will you be grabbing this game when it releases? Like any of Supergiant's other work? Do you also fawn over Darren Korb? Let us know!
