Biomutant gets "quiet and positive" new World trailer

By Heidi Nicholas,
A new trailer for Biomutant shows off the more peaceful side of the game's open world, giving a look at a few of the mounts available, and some of the biomes we'll be travelling through when the game launches on May 25th.

Biomutant is Experiment 101's upcoming post-apocalyptic "fable RPG," and most of what we've seen so far has shown the little fox-like protagonist facing off against enemies of every kind, with a much more chaotic vibe than we get from this trailer. "And why is it so... quiet... and positive?" THQ Nordic asks. "Because there are too many fast-paced, dark and gritty trailers in this world anyway. We are pretty upbeat people and Biomutant is a colourful game. So zip it and enjoy."

THQ Nordic adds that everything in the trailer "was captured in game... no artificial flavouring of any kind." We know Biomutant's open world will have a range of biomes to explore, and we see glimpses of some of these in the trailer, as well as a few of the weirder mounts available to help you travel through them — a giant metal hand, and what looks like a horse made out of scrap metal, for instance.

It's definitely good to see more of Biomutant, which is now just a month or so away, and scheduled to launch on May 25th. What do you think? Will you be picking up Biomutant? Let us know in the comments!

Hey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
