Apex Legends' War Games event kicks off next week with Second Chance

Next week sees the new War Games event arriving for Apex Legends. War Games will run for two weeks, and starts with the Second Chance mode.

War Games, which brings "never-before-seen modifiers," begins on April 13th with the Second Chance mode, which gives you one free respawn per match. Next is Ultra Zones, which is available from April 15th to April 19th, and which populates a single map with more Hot Zones. Each will be surrounded by a Flash Point to help you recover HP, and according to Respawn, you'll find "more epic loot" and "more gold items" in Ultra Zones.

From April 19th to April 21st is Auto Banners, which lets you recover your teammates' Banner Cards at respawn beacons. Up next, from April 21st to April 23rd, there's Killing Time, which reduces the round time whenever a Legend is eliminated. The final mode, from April 23rd to April 27th, is Armour Regen, which causes 12 points of armour to regenerate every second, starting eight seconds after taking damage. If your amour takes too much damage and becomes cracked, this delay will extend to 16 seconds. The War Games event includes five Battle Pass levels, XP challenges, and a new reward track and cosmetics.
