Resident Evil Re:Verse open beta is available to pre-load now

By Heidi Nicholas,
You can pre-load the open beta for online multiplayer title Resident Evil Re:Verse for free now, ready for when it goes live tomorrow. The open beta runs from April 7th to April 11th. If you buy Resident Evil Village, which launches on May 7th, you'll get the full Resident Evil Re:Verse game along with it for free.

Capcom says Resident Evil Re:Verse has you play as "iconic Resident Evil characters, including Chris and Claire Redfield, Jill Valentine, Ada Wong, and Hunk as they clash in multiplayer battles across memorable Resident Evil locations." Each character has specific weapons and skills, and you'll earn points for eliminating your enemies. If you're defeated yourself, you'll come back as a bioweapon like Nemesis. "Based on how many vials of virus samples you managed to collect in human form, you’ll transform into some of the Resident Evil franchise’s most memorable enemies," Capcom adds. "Welcome other players to the family as Jack Baker, or hunt down a few S.T.A.R.S. team members as the hulking Nemesis. If you’re skilled – and lucky – enough, you can take revenge on the player who took you out."

The Re:Verse open beta is available to pre-load now for PS4 and PS4 Pro, with PS5 players able to access the PS4 version. The beta goes live tomorrow, April 7th, and Re:Verse will be available in full alongside Resident Evil Village on May 7th.

Hey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
