Call of Duty: Modern Warfare receives surprise maps and a new playlist

By Tom West,
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s mid-season update went live this morning, featuring the new Killhouse map and its 24/7 playlist, along with two new maps for Private Matches.

The mid-season update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare went live this morning (thanks, Eurogamer) and surprisingly, new maps and a playlist have also appeared. Call of Duty Tracker posted screenshots of the Al-Raab Airbase and Drainage maps on Twitter. The two maps were found in Private Matches, but not currently available in multiplayer.

Killhouse — which was originally in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare — is now available in multiplayer lobbies and Private Matches, and currently features its own 24/7 Mosh Pit playlist. These new maps appeared without any word from Infinity Ward or Activision, which is certainly strange, and stranger still is the lack of patch notes for this update. We’ll keep you updated with any new information regarding Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and any more surprise content it may receive.
