CD Projekt Red shares "most notable changes" coming with next Cyberpunk patch

By Heidi Nicholas,
CD Projekt Red has now detailed the biggest changes we can expect when the next Cyberpunk 2077 patch, Patch 1.2, arrives.

Patch 1.2

The patch notes are pretty lengthy, covering everything from gameplay bugs to quest fixes and beyond. The patch will fix the glitch that stopped V taking fall damage after performing a slide action, as well as the issue where NPCs could get stuck in doorways, the issue causing NPCs to trip over each other too much, the bug where you heard the wrong dialogue when grappling enemies, and the issue where you didn't get the right Common and Uncommon components when disassembling grenades.

Patch 1.2 also brings fixes for a range of quest-related bugs, as well as for open-world issues and problems with a few trophies related to completing district activities, like The Wasteland trophy and The Jungle trophy. The patch notes go on to cover issues with cinematic design, environment and level problems, issues with graphics, audio, and animation, and more. For instance, NPCs will no longer move after being killed, and you should see improvements in textures rendering, as well as the "visual quality" of underwater objects. V will sit on motorcycles correctly, and their hands will show in the right position on the steering wheel when driving cars. Overall, it's a pretty hefty list of changes. We still don't have a release date for Patch 1.2 — although CDPR says it's coming "soon" — but we'll keep you updated.

Hey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
