PlayStation Gameplay Chart: Play at Home takes top 40 by storm

By Luke Albigés,
This week's chart sees lots of new entries as most of the games featured in Sony's returning Play at Home scheme make their way into the top 40 for the first time. Here is the top 40 PlayStation Gameplay Chart for the week ending March 28th, 2021.

Amazingly, there's a new number one this week, with... no wait, it's still Call of Duty. The top five has barely shifted since last week (with the exception of Rocket League, which bumps GTA V out thanks to its end-of-season Llama-Rama event), but lower down, there is a lot going on.

Inside the top ten, Fall Guys climbs eight places as its new season kicks off, clumsily waddling into Final Fantasy VII Remake on its way up the list to knock the Plus title down to 11th. Rounding out the top ten, we see the first of the Play at Home games, Subnautica, and most of the others are not far behind.

Six of the nine free titles make it into the top 40, and the three that don't — Astro Bot: Rescue Mission, Moss, and Paper Beast — are unsurprisingly the three that are exclusive to PSVR. Subnautica performs best in 10th place, followed by Enter the Gungeon in 14th, Abzu in 25th, Thumper in 27th, and Rez Infinite in 31st, with The Witness just sneaking in at 38th. It'll be interesting to see how these fare over the next few weeks... and how Horizon Zero Dawn gets on when that joins Play at Home.

It's going to be tough for anything to break into the chart with so many free games around, but there seems to be enough of a buzz around Outriders — which launches later this week — that it might be in with a shot. What do you reckon? Let us know below!
