Judgment is getting remastered for PS5, launching in April

By Sean Carey,
Sega and developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have announced that Judgment, the Yakuza spin-off, is getting a remaster for Playstation 5, launching on April 23rd.

The PS4 exclusive has undergone a facelift with the game boasting "refined visuals" and a performance bump that sees the Judgment running at 60fps on latest consoles. Sega confirmed to IGN that cross-buy is not supported, so if you own a PS4 copy of Judgment, and wish to play the game with all of its next-gen improvements, you will need to purchase the PS5 edition. It's currently unclear if progress between the two versions will transfer.

Set in the familiar district of Kamurocho, you play as Takayuki Yagami, a private detective who sets out to solve a mystery behind a series of murders involving the Yakuza. Much like other Yakuza games, you can expect more street fighting, side missions, and minigames, but there's also some detective work to perform in Judgment.

Judgment comes to PS5 on April 23rd.
