Dead by Daylight has several upcoming changes, including graphics updates for two realms

By Heidi Nicholas,
Behaviour Interactive has a number of upcoming changes planned for Dead by Daylight, including graphics updates for two realms, a new HUD layout, and gameplay changes to The Clown. You can check out the full list of upcoming changes over on a recent forum post and in the video below:

The HUD update is one of the biggest upcoming changes. It will have a new layout, options to scale the UI, character portraits, and a hook counter for Survivors and a meter showing hook progress for Killers. The devs say the hook counter for Survivors will show "who's been hooked, who hasn't, and who can't afford to be hooked again."

The Clown is getting some gameplay updates, including the new Afterpiece Antidote throwable. It shatters when thrown and releases a gas which gives a 10% movement speed boost to everyone in the area for a few seconds, as well as curing any effects of the Afterpiece Tonic. Survivor animations have been made more realistic, and matchmaking ratings are returning. Behaviour Interactive is also adding rank rewards. You will earn Bloodpoints based on your rank (which will be reset to 20 each month) and can earn Bloodpoints for both the Survivor and Killer roles. Two realms, the Gideon Meat Plant and the Crotus Prenn Asylum, will be getting graphics updates, and the game itself will get a number of quality of life changes.

Behaviour Interactive seems to have a lot planned for Dead by Daylight, and we'll be sure to keep you updated.

Hey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
