Sony has begun refunding players for Cyberpunk 2077

By Sean Carey,
It appears that Sony has now started the long process of refunding players who requested a refund for CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077. Multiple reports from users across the internet say the money has been returned to their bank accounts.

In a vast megathread over on the Cyberpunk subreddit, users who previously purchased Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation Store and subsequently requested a refund, are now receiving their refunds. According to these reports, players are not being notified by Sony when the refund goes through, so it'll be worth checking your bank account to see if you've received yours.

In December, Sony pulled Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation Store and began offering customers refunds, largely down to the game's performance issues while running on the PlayStation 4. The company said, "SIE strives to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, therefore we will begin to offer a full refund for all gamers who have purchased Cyberpunk 2077 via PlayStation Store. SIE will also be removing Cyberpunk 2077 from PlayStation Store until further notice." Cyberpunk is still absent from the digital storefront.

A report from The Gamer suggests that some players who have even unlocked the game's platinum are still receiving refunds.

If you still haven't received your refund, be sure to double-check your bank account. The money might have already been returned to you.
