Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's mid-season update arrives next week with new content

By Sean Carey,
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will be getting an injection of fresh content with a mid-season update that's rolling out on January 14th.

Zombies Onslaught

The update will include new modes for both Multiplayer and Zombies, and while Treyarch hasn't detailed everything that'll be included in the patch notes, it has revealed a few interesting titbits.

Multiplayer is getting a new 6v6 mode called Dropkick where you'll be fighting against an enemy team for control of nuclear launch codes and holding an objective to win. A new Fireteam map called Sanitorium is also on the way. In Zombies, Treyarch says the intensity is being turned up to 11 with the introduction of Cranked, a new moe where every zombie killed resets a timer that's counting down to your death. In the PlayStation-exclusive Onslaught mode, Raid joins the map list, and PlayStation users can expect new Dark Aether intel.

The mid-season update rolls out on January 14th.
