Reminder: Battleborn's servers are closing this month, unlock any remaining trophies now

By Sean Carey,
Servers for Battleborn, Gearbox Software's failed MOBA, will finally be closed on January 25th, which means all of its trophies will become discontinued after the shutdown.

Battleborn launched back in 2016, but failed to capture gamers' hearts and minds and soon saw dwindling player numbers. A few years later, Gearbox announced that it would be sunsetting the game, before pulling Battleborn from digital storefronts. Although the game is still currently playable, after January 25th, the servers will be turned off and Battleborn will be no more.

Battleborn's trophies can only be unlocked online, so they'll all be discontinued once the servers go down. If you have any remaining trophies that you wish to pop, you'll want to start working towards meeting their requirements before the 25th. For those looking to start Battleborn in hopes of knocking out a platinum, just be aware that completion estimates suggest it takes between 120 and 150 hours to unlock all of the trophies from the base game — you're going to be in for quite the grind considering you have just 20 days left.

If you are thinking about picking up Battleborn again, make sure you set up a Battleborn boosting sessions to work through the trophies with other TT members. The player count is likely to be minuscule at this point, so working with others from TT could make your trophy hunting efforts a bit easier.

Battleborn's servers will close on January 25th.
