Hotfix 1.05

You can check out the full list of changes coming with Hotfix 1.05 over on the Cyberpunk 2077 site. It brings a lot of fixes, especially for quest issues. A number of quests which had bugs blocking progression should now work correctly, including Ghost Town, Play it Safe, and I Fought the Law. Gameplay-wise, the update "improves the reaction time of NPCs taking cover," and sorts out the number of shots "needed to kill civilians from a distance while in combat." There are also fixes for visual issues such as Delamain's image showing over the image of the person actually calling you, UI overlap issues, and a fix to allow V to appear "more modest in the inventory preview."

Hotfix 1.05 also brings "multiple stability improvements, including crash fixes," and solutions for a number of other problems. It's part of CD Projekt Red's efforts to improve the experience of the game following widespread complaints. Players who bought the game and played it on a base last-gen console in particular were reporting game-breaking bugs and issues. While Sony has removed Cyberpunk 2077 from the PS Store and is offering refunds, CDPR has plans in place to improve the game, including major patches arriving early next year, with smaller updates like Hotfix 1.05 arriving in the meantime.

Hey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
