Cyberpunk 2077 PlayStation preload begins December 8th — you'll need 102GB of free space

By Sean Carey,
CD Projekt Red has confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 will be available to preload and install for PlayStation players from tomorrow, December 8th.

Some players, likely those in Australia, have already begun preloading the game, and according to them, the download is weighing in at a whopping 102 GB. This large file size includes the game and a patch that rolled out last week, so be sure to clear some space on that hard drive or SSD. If you've preordered the game digitally, you should be able to download the file as soon as December 8th rolls around in your region from the PlayStation Store.

Players will likely have to download another big update on day one. The patch that reviewers have had to download is not the day one update according to CD Projekt Red's PR manager Fabian Döhla. In a reply to a tweet about the patch, Döhla revealed that there would be another an update to download on day one.

Once downloaded and installed the game will unlock at midnight in your region on December 10th.
