God of War's Kratos is coming to Fortnite in Season 5

By Sean Carey,
It's a crossover that probably nobody was expecting: God of War's Kratos seems to be heading to
Fortnite as part of the battle royale's latest season.

Sony began teasing Kratos' arrival with a short video over on Twitter. In the video, we hear a voice that talks of a man who's "literally vanquished multiple gods with his bare hands in a fit of uncontrollable rage."

Shortly after this tease, an unverified leaked image started doing the rounds on the Internet showing the bearded Kratos as coming to the battle royale game. It's currently unclear if Kratos will be just a skin or a fully-fledged character with his own special abilities.

The Master Chief might also be heading to Fornite. Several leaked screenshots, including a Master Chief skin, a Warthog emote, and other Halo-themed cosmetics seemingly confirm a Fortnite and Halo crossover event.

It's not known when Kratos will join the Fortnite lineup, but we'll update you as soon as we get confirmation from Sony.

Epic revealed that Fortnite's latest in-game Galactus Nexus event attracted a record-breaking 15.3 million concurrent players.
