Red Dead Online is now available as a standalone game

By Brittany Vincent,
Red Dead Online is now available as a standalone game, having spun off from parent game Red Dead Redemption 2.

You can pick up the game independently of Red Dead Redemption 2 for 75% off its normal price at $4.99 for a limited time. It'll be going back up to full price on February 15th, 2021, so if you don't want to pony up, it's a good idea to go ahead and grab the game now.

In addition to Red Dead Online going live, you can pick up the new Prestigious Bounty Hunter License, which will cost you 15 Gold Bars. The new Outlaw Pass will run you 40 Gold Bars, and it comes offering 100 ranks to level up through. Once completed, you'll be rewarded with 30 Gold Bars, the Movement outfit, Washwood fur coat, a new satchel, more skill pamphlets, and camera filters to use for screenshots.

If you're planning on jumping in right now, you should know the new Outlaw Pass is available until March 15th, 2021. Make sure you snap up all the rewards up for grabs now, as you'll want to tackle the weekly bounties available and collect their fees as the targets change each week.

Now's a great time to start playing Red Dead Online, but if you need to purchase the standalone version and want the story mode as well, you can still do that, too. You'll be looking at a separate fee for that, but you can still have your Red Dead cake and eat it, too.
