GTA Online's next heist will take you to a new island

After a brief teaser video yesterday, GTA Online Rockstar has announced a new heist that takes place on a new exotic island location.

Rockstar says The Cayo Perico Heist is "Grand Theft Auto Online's biggest, most daring, and action-packed addition yet." Players will travel to the private island of Cayo Perico to recover some valuable evidence, and fill their pockets with gold, drug money, and as much fine art as they can carry. However, the island is teeming with heavily armed security, so don't think this is going to be an easy job.

In a first for GTA Online, the heist can be completed solo, which is kind of a big deal. Since launch, players who don't have enough friends to complete heists have had to rely on other random players to fill up their heist team, and this doesn't always make for the best experience.

The update also includes new vehicles, weapons, social spaces, and some new radio stations with over 100 new songs. If you've watched the trailer, you'll also notice that rather large submarine, which Rockstar says acts as a new HQ.

The Cayo Perico Heist comes to GTA Online on December 15th. Rockstar will be sharing more details on the update soon.
