Hitman devs IO Interactive will soon reveal a new project

By Brittany Vincent,
IO Interactive, the folks that brought us the slick new (and old) Hitman series, have something exciting to share with us.

The team has been working on a new project, which they'll be revealing on November 19, according to their latest tweet.

"New Project," teases the post. "Join us for the reveal November 19," the stark black and white image proclaims. The reveal is happening at 9am ET/2pm UK time via the official IO Interactive YouTube channel.

It looks very Hitman-esque, not going to lie, but given that we already know one is in the works, it likely isn't a spin-off or something of that nature.

Hitman 3 is already slated for release on January 20, 2021 for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Stadia. However, the PC version will be an Epic Games Store exclusive for one year following that.

IO Interactive has remained fairly quiet over the past few months about anything other than Hitman, so it should be interesting to see what comes of this update. Here's to whatever they have in the works — it could be a very cool new IP, after all. It's been a while since we heard from Kane & Lynch, after all.
