Codemasters to change Dirt 5's 'Spare Some Change for Gas?' trophy

By Sean Carey,
Codemasters has announced that it's making a change to Dirt 5's most time-consuming trophy, and eliminating the grind for all players.

Dirt 5 PS5 120 fps

The 'Spare Some Change for Gas?' trophy requires players to travel an overall total distance of 10,000 miles in their rally cars in the game. Since the game launched back on November 6th, only one player has managed to pop the trophy here on TT, and not a single soul has unlocked it over on TrueAchievements. This trophy is similar in scope to Grid's 'Around the Globe' trophy and Skater XL's utterly ridiculous 'Around the world' trophy.

Thankfully, Codemasters has been listening to its players and is lowering the overall total miles need to unlock the trophy. In a patch that's coming soon, Codemasters say it will lower the 10,000 miles requirement to just 1,000 miles, which should eliminate all of that aimless grinding. The trophy will also retroactively unlock for players that have already met the requirement.
