Insomniac shows off new Crimson Cowl suit for Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales

By Heidi Nicholas,
Insomniac has been teasing dribs and drabs of new Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales info, and the latest gives us a look at a new Crimson Cowl suit. It's not the second pre-order suit — but it looks pretty awesome.

Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales

Pre-ordering Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales gets you two suits, a gadget and skill points. The first of these suits is the T.R.A.C.K. Suit, but James Stevenson, community director at Insomniac, has already confirmed that this Crimson Cowl suit isn't the second, which hopefully means Insomniac will have more suit reveals soon.

Several Spidey fans were quick to notice that this particular issue of Daily Bugle Now, the infamous in-game newspaper, was written by Betty Brant, who discusses Miles' fashion choice with his new suits. Brant first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #4 in 1963, and in the comics she appeared as J. Jonah Jameson's secretary, a love interest for Peter Parker, a reporter for the Daily Bugle, and occasionally as a girlfriend of Flash Thompson, or Agent Venom. We don't yet know what role she'll play in the new Spidey game, beyond her job as reporter for Daily Bugle Now.

Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales launches on November 19th. If you needed any more of a reason to be hyped for it; Game Informer recently revealed that Miles will be accompanied by his own little Spider-Cat. Miles will at some point get a Bodega Cat Suit with a backpack for his little cat friend to travel in, which it will emerge from to help out in combat. If, however, you're more interested in cats wearing their own backpacks, don't forget about Stray. Developer Bluetwelve has gone pretty quiet on this game since it was announced — all we know so far is that the cat wears a backpack and makes friends with a small robot. And, really, isn't that enough?

Hey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
