Dirt 5 will be a PlayStation 5 launch title

By Sean Carey,
Codemasters has now confirmed that the PS5 version of Dirt 5 will be available to play at launch on November 12th or November 19th depending on your region.

The current-gen version of Dirt 5 launches on November 6th, and if you've already pre-ordered yourself a copy, you'll be able to upgrade to a PS5 copy once it launches in your region. On PS5, Dirt 5 will support 4K resolution and 120fps options, benefit from faster loading times thanks to the console's SSD, and make use of the DualSense controller's haptic feedback and adaptive triggers features.

PS4 and PS5 players will be able to race together thanks to cross-gen online support, but Codemasters has said that save files will not transfer to or from consoles. Career progress, currency, and saved liveries are all tied to the console you play on. Creations from Playgrounds mode are the only content that will carry across.

Dirt 5 comes to PS4 on November 6th and PS5 on November 12th or November 19th depending on your region.
