Crystal Dynamics promises more end-game content for Marvel's Avengers

Crystal Dynamics has promised to add more end-game content to Marvel's Avengers after listening to player complaints and seeing the game's concurrent player count decrease significantly in recent days.

Marvel's Avengers

According to reports from earlier in the week, Marvel's Avengers on PC is seeing player numbers dip below 1,000 concurrent players. For a game that launched just over a month ago now, that's quite surprising to see. Crystal Dynamics now plans to remedy the situation and has detailed some of the new content coming to the game.

In a lengthy statement given to Kotaku, Crystal Dynamics studio head Scot Amos said the development team is "making fixes, improvements, and additions as fast as we safely can to make Marvel’s Avengers."

Amos then details some of the new additions coming to the game, which include, "a totally new War Zone mission type called Tachyon Rifts, a new Outpost that’s a jumping-off point for new story missions in the future, and AIM’s Cloning Lab, which requires a coordinated high-level group of four players to beat with new top-end loot rewards for finishing it."

Both Hawkeyes, Kate Bishop and Clint Barton, are also coming soon. They'll be joining the Avengers lineup alongside new Operations, which pick up from the ending of the campaign. We can expect new mysteries, villains and new multiplayer content, says Amos. The team will also continue to address game balancing and loot distribution over the coming months.

"We are confident that we’ll see PC players (as well as those on Xbox One and PlayStation 4) return to the game as we add exciting new late-game content and demonstrate that we continue to be focused on improving the game," says Amos.

More will be revealed about the new content in a blog post scheduled for next week. As soon as we hear more, we'll update you.
