PlayStation 5 Showcase: here is every announcement from the event

By Sean Carey,
Sony's PlayStation 5 Showcase was a big one. We finally got prices for both the PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition, launch dates for both consoles, updates on games we already knew about, and a few surprise announcements too. The show only ran for about 40 minutes, but it was packed full of news. Here is a round-up of everything that happened last night if you missed it.

PS5 price and launch date reveal

PS5 pre-order

The PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition will launch on November 12th for the US, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea. The rest of the world has to wait a week until November 19th to get their hands on a console. The PS5 is priced at $499/£449/€499, with the PS5 Digital Edition costing $399/£359/€399. Preorders are live now.

Demon's Souls

The Demon's Souls remake is looking fantastic in this extended gameplay trailer. Around four minutes of gameplay footage was shown that showcases some of the locations in the game and a boss battle. Demon's Souls is a PS5 launch title.
