PlayStation 5 launches November 12 from £359/$399

By Luke Albigés,
PlayStation 5 finally has a release date and a price. Well, a pair of prices, actually, and a pair of dates — starting November 12th, you'll be able to pick up an all-digital PS5 for $399, or one that plays discs for $499. That's just for US, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea, though, with the rest of the world getting PS5 a week later on November 19th for £449/€499, or £359/€399 for the PS5 Digital Edition

At the end of its dedicated showcase event, Sony broke its silence at last, as well as showing off a bunch of new games that will be coming to PS5 at or around launch. Many people believed that Sony's console would come in at the more expensive end of the market, so these prices are surprisingly reasonable considering the ridiculous amount of tech rammed into that divisive casing.

Preorders are set to begin from tomorrow (September 17th) at select retailers.

What do you make of the prices, and the dates? Which will you be picking up? Let us know below...
