CDPR says we'll find out about Cyberpunk 2077 post-launch plans "fairly soon"

CD Projekt Red's Adam Kicinski says we'll hear more Cyberpunk 2077's post-launch lineup "fairly soon," and that we can "expect more" than The Witcher 3.

CDPR has already confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 will have free DLC packs, and that the team aims to follow The Witcher 3 model of post-launch content. That alone was promising enough, considering The Witcher 3's phenomenal DLC content included the huge story arc of Hearts of Stone, as well as Blood and Wine, which was basically a whole other game in itself with a massive new region to explore.

Yet in the most recent CDPR conference call, Adam Kicinski says we can "expect more." Responding to a question about whether Cyberpunk's DLC would be "developed similarly to The Witcher 3," Kicinski said, "yes, you can expect a similar path after release. You can expect more, actually. We’re not going into too many details today, but everything will be clear before release. As we are close to the release, expect the post-release plans to be revealed fairly soon; a series of free DLCs and expansions will be described – as I said, you can expect it fairly soon and then everything will be made clear."

Cyberpunk 2077 is already shaping up to be a massive game, and it sounds as though CDPR has plans for some extensive add-on content. We know we'll hear more about the game's post-launch lineup soon, so we'll be sure to keep you posted.

Hey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
