Keen-eyed readers may have spotted a new name in the bylines of stories on TrueTrophies over the last week or so — Luke Albigés.
Luke has been appointed Editor of TrueGaming Network with the responsibility of overseeing the news output of both TrueTrophies and our sister Xbox site TrueAchievements, and is working out of our new Bournemouth office with Heidi and Sean.
Luke has been in gaming media for over 15 years, and has contributed to, worked in, and run news teams at some of the biggest and best games magazines and websites the UK has produced:
- Play (Editor)
- gamesTM (Associate Editor)
- 360 Gamer (Online Editor)
- Edge
- Eurogamer
- Retro Gamer
- X360
- ...and many more!
Proving he knows how to play games as well as write about them, Luke has also held several Guitar Hero world records over the years, and has an impressive PlayStation trophy collection and Xbox Gamerscore.

And now, over to the man himself:
I am super excited to be joining the TrueTrophies team, and I'm really looking forward to helping steer and grow the site as we head into a new generation. The arrival of new hardware marks a perfect opportunity for us to take things to the next level, and I've got a ton of ideas about how we might do just that. Some of them aren't terrible, so that's something.
There's so much cool stuff I want to do on TT in the coming weeks and months... some things we've done before but not for a while, some that we've never done before, and a few that I'm not sure
anyone has done. But with this being such a community-driven site, I'm not just going to selfishly throw out articles written by me, for me. I mean, I am going to do
some of that, but I'll be doing plenty of other stuff as well. To that end, I want to hear what kind of content YOU would like to see more of here, so that we can work to deliver something that ticks as many boxes as possible. It could be anything:
- Long-form features
- Opinion pieces
- Game previews
- Game reviews
- Hardware reviews
- Review round-ups
- Deal round-ups
- Data analysis
- Developer interviews
- Other interviews (community etc.)
- Tips, tricks, and guides
- Retrospectives
- Video
- Podcasts
And that's just to name a few possibilities. Perhaps you've got more. Whatever it is you think we should be doing more, let us know. If there's a loud enough voice shouting for us to do (or not do) something, I'll make sure that we at least try to make it happen.
