Hitman 2 and Greedfall headline August's PS Now additions By Heidi Nicholas, 04 Aug 2020 CommentsPlayStation has revealed the lineup for August's PS Now games: Hitman 2, Dead Cells and Greedfall, are all available to play today. PlayStation doesn't specify how long Greedfall will be available for, but both Hitman 2 and Dead Cells will be available until February 1st, 2021. PlayStation's announcement only lists these three games, but the PlayStation UK Twitter account also mentions Power Rangers Battle for the Grid, AO Tennis 2, The Sinking City, WRC 8, Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr, and Pure Farming 18:It's not yet clear why the UK account is listing so many games. However, even with just those three mentioned on the PlayStation Blog announcement, it's still a nice mix of genres. Hitman 2 is a third person shooter/stealth game in which you, top assassin Agent 47, explore sandbox locations and hunt down targets. Greedfall is a fantasy open-world action RPG, where you leave the polluted Old Continent behind and head to the island of Teer Fradee in search of a cure. The island is naturally beautiful and steeped in magic, but the relationship between your companions and the island's local peoples and creatures is uneasy at best. Finally, with Dead Cells, you're getting a roguelite platformer with "an interconnected world, branching paths and unlockable skills with the constant adrenaline-pumping threat of permadeath." There's no checkpoints, meaning "you either vanquish the final boss in one go or you try again... Tough but fair combat, responsive controls, challenging foes, and of course, the emergency panic roll to get you out of trouble make for a visceral and cathartic action game."What do you think of this month's PS Now additions? I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
