Ghost of Tsushima is one of the most highly-anticipated PlayStation exclusives in recent years. Set in 13th century feudal Japan, it charts the journey of Jin Sakai as he attempts to repel the Mongol Invaders and save Tsushima. The Mongol invasion wiped out most of the island's samurai, and the game will also follow Jin's struggle as he attempts to become a new type of warrior: the Ghost. Combat will feature Jin's samurai tactics, with precise, one-on-one combat, and the stealthier tactics of the Ghost, such as assassination techniques and projectiles.

Nearly half of the trophies are secret, suggesting they're tied into the story. As for the rest, several are tied into combat, requiring Jin to master combat stances such as the Water stance and Stone stance, as well as the Ghost stance, to utilise techniques such as the Perfect Parry, the Ghost's projectiles, and Stagger, and to liberate Mongol-occupied areas. The rest seem to be related to exploration and customisation, both of which are huge factors in the game. Side content such as Mythic Tales and Tales of Tsushima will need to be completed, and you'll need to find all the shrines and relight all the lighthouses. Customisation-related trophies, meanwhile, will have you upgrading Jin's katana and collecting Vanity gear.

Ghost of Tsushima is developed by Sucker Punch and is scheduled to be released tomorrow, July 17th. While we wait these last few hours, why not check out everything we know in our Ghost of Tsushima roundup, as well as details on the game's map, which will feature three regions and over 40 biomes, and the "dozens of enemy types" Jin will face.

Hey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
