We got a first-look at some big games coming to the console and the official unveiling of the console itself. From Horizon: Forbidden West to Bugsnax, we've rounded up all the game announcements from last nights stream. In a total, 26 games were either announced or shown off. Here is everything Sony announced during the Future of Gaming PS5 digital event: PS5 Console RevealSony finally revealed the PlayStation 5. Moving away from the traditional black launch console, Sony decided to go with a predominantly white machine with blue accent lighting. With its curved design, it looks sleek and futuristic. The design has seemingly split the internet with the console being a love or hate affair. Sony also announced a PlayStation 5 Digital Edition that doesn't feature a disc drive. No price or release date was revealed for either. Horizon Forbidden WestWe also got our first look at a sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn. A cinematic trailer for Horizon Forbidden West was shown. In it we see Aloy venturing out west to what looks to be San Francisco. A giant robot mammoth was also shown towards the end of the video. No release date was given. Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a new adventure set in the Spider-Man universe that builds upon Marvel's Spider-Man. Players will "experience the rise of Miles Morales as he masters new powers to become his own Spider-Man". A release window of Holiday 2020 was given. Ratchet & Clank: Rift ApartRatchet & Clank are getting an outing on the PS5. Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is a new adventure from Insomniac Games. According to PlayStation.Blog, players will be able to "seamlessly travel" through different dimensions in mid-gameplay thanks to the PS5's SSD. The game will also make full use of the DualSense controller's haptic feedback and adaptive triggers functions. No release date was given. Demon’s Souls Demon's Souls is getting a full-on remake built from the ground up for the PS5. The game will feature two graphics modes: one that focuses on fidelity, and the other on frame rate. No release date was given for the PlayStation exclusive. Gran Turismo 7 A new entry into the Gran Turismo series was announced with Gran Turismo 7. PlayStation.Blog says, "GT 7 brings together the best features from past instalments of the series alongside the future. An even more realistic driving experience awaits thanks to haptic feedback, which brings to life what it's like when the tires hit the road." No release date was given.Sackboy A Big AdventureSackboy returns in an all-new 3d platformer. Set in the Little Big Planet world, players can either go it alone or team up with friends for some collaborative co-op fun in Sackboy: A Big Adventure. No release date for Sackboy's next outing was shown. ReturnalReturnal is a new game from developer Housemarque. Players will have to fight to survive a hostile planet that changes each time the player dies in this roguelike/third-person shooter. No release date was given.Destruction AllStarsDestruction AllStars looks to be some sort of a cross between Rocket League and Destruction Derby with the main aim of destroying as many cars as possible. No release date was specified.Astro's PlayroomAstro is back for a new outing on the PlayStation 5. Astro's Playroom is a platformer that comes pre-loaded on the PS5. It has four worlds each based on the PS5's components. The game also makes full use of the new DualSense controller. Astro's Playroom launches during Holiday 2020. GhostWire: TokyoGameplay for action-adventure Ghostwire: Tokyo was shown during the stream. Players can explore streets filled with spirits and "mysterious otherworldy threats" while wielding an "arsenal of powerful abilities". A release date of 2021 was shown.GodfallGameplay for Godfall was shown for the first time. We see a glimpse of the game's world of Aperiaon, weapons, Valorplates and melee combat. The game features five weapon classes and can be played either solo or with up to three friends in co-op. Godfall launches Holiday 2020. Project AthiaProject Athia is a game developed by Luminous Productions and published by Square Enix. Project Athia (working title) will take players on an "other-worldly" adventure that's going to be "action-packed, and at times twisted, tempestuous, and forbidding". Only a brief sneak peek was shown during the PS5 event. No release date has been confirmed, but Project Athia is a PlayStation 5 console exclusive. Hitman 3Agent 47 is back. Hitman 3 is the conclusion to the World of Assassination trilogy and is coming to both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 in January 2021. NBA 2K21NBA 2K21 is built from the ground up for the PS5 with a release date set for Fall 2021. DeathloopGameplay for Arkane Lyon's Deathloop was shown during the event. "Trapped on an island stuck in a time loop, you will fight, sneak, and sabotage your way past the members of the AEON Program – the island's trigger-happy revellers who have put you on the top of their hitlist – on your mission to eliminate eight key targets in a single loop and end the "endless" cycle." Deathloop allows players to tackle each mission with any approach they want and will be a console exclusive on the PS5 for a limited time when it launches in Holiday 2020. Resident Evil Village Resident Evil Village is coming to PlayStation 5 in 2021 and sees the return of Chris Redfield. Resident Evil Village is the eighth mainline entry into the Resident Evil franchise. PragmataCapcom gave us a brief glimpse at an upcoming game called Pragmata. The game is in development for Playstation 5 and is launching in 2022. Grand Theft Auto VGrand Theft Auto V is coming to PlayStation 5 in the second half of 2021. The game will feature a number of technical improvements included upgraded graphics and performance improvements. A standalone version of GTA Online will also be available to PS5 owners for free during the first three months. BugsnaxThe team that brought you Octodad: Dadliest Catch has been hard at work on Bugsnax — a narrative-driven adventure game where creatures are both half-bug and half-snacks. Bugsnax launches Holiday 2020.Goodbye Volcano HighGoodbye Volcano High is a narrative-driven adventure game from developer KO_OP. It's a cinematic choice-based game that revolves around a bung of dinosaur teens who are in their final year at school. Goodbye Volcano High is coming to Playstation 5 in 2021. Jett: The Far ShoreJett: The Far Shore is a narrative-driven action-adventure game that mixes storytelling and world exploration. It will launch on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in Holiday 2020. Kena: Bridge of SpiritsKena: Bridge of Spirits is a 3D action-adventure developed by Ember Labs. No release date has been given for the charming adventure game, but it has been confirmed to be a PlayStation 5 console exclusive. Little Devil InsideDeveloped by Neostream Interactive, Little Devil Inside is an action-adventure RPG with survival elements and set in a Victorian-like era. No release date for the PlayStation 5 game has been confirmed. Oddworld: SoulstormAbe is back! Oddworld: Soulstorm is coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, although no release date was given. The game was first announced back in 2016 but has been delayed several times. Soulstorm picks up from where Oddworld: New 'N' Tasty left off and features new gameplay mechanics and makes use of the PS5's graphical power, 3D audio and Dualsense controller. StrayStray is an adventure game where you get to live out your dreams of being a cat. The cat must find its way home and help the city along the way. Stray will launch on PlayStation 5 in 2021. Solar AshSolar Ash is brought to you by the team that made Hyper Light Drifter. "Players will blast through high-speed traversal challenges with wild gravity and beautiful vistas while slaying massive monsters and meeting other lost souls.
